Our Mission
Founded in October 2011, BASYC Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through life skills training and mentorship. Our mission is to provide young individuals with the tools, guidance, and confidence they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and emerge as responsible, resilient adults.
At BASYC Inc., we believe that every young person has the potential to thrive. Our programs are designed to cultivate essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork. Rufus the Bear
Meet Rufus our team captain! Rufus is more than just a cuddly companion. He is a symbol of strength, guidance, and support for youth living with diabetes. Having been diagnosed with diabetes, Rufus inspires young people to embrace their journey and manage their health confidently. Captain Rufus has patches on his arms, legs, tummy and bottom to show small children where they can inject insulin, take their blood tests, and help them practice their daily medical procedures.
